There is plenty of conflict, but insufficient conflict between the bad and the good for me. He seemed to be almost as much a criminal as the callous, amoral gang he was working for. Marc Miller certainly didn’t come over as a good guy. There was nobody that I could be rooting for. There were no admirable characters for the reader to identify with. The principle characters are well depicted, and it’s clear that Marc Miller is dealing with a ruthless gang of criminals.įor me, there was one major problem with this novel. The description of the ‘dead drop’ was exciting. The author keeps up the pace right up to the last chapter.

‘Dead Drop’ is written in the first person and is a fast moving story full of intrigue and danger. The book starts really well and sets the scene immediately. I liked the cover and the blurb on the back they certainly grabbed the readers’ interest. This isn’t my usual genre of novels and but found it an interesting read, judging the work from a general perspective.
